Principal Place is a new destination where the City meets Shoreditch. Developed by Brookfield and designed by Foster & Partners, the 600,00sq ft, a 57 storey office building with nearly an acre of roof terraces will be home to Amazon from 2017. Principal Place also features 20,000sq ft of restaurants, shops, a boutique gym and a vibrant half-acre public piazza to be activated by year rounds arts & events programme. The mixed-use development also includes a 57 storey residential building, Principal Tower which is now complete.

P&N installed two Skyrise and one Skybuild as a Triplex of lifts. The Skybuild was the 1st installation of OTIS's jump lift system to be installed in the UK with the work being completed on target and within budget. This jump lift system enabled the building to have a working lift system to ferry both people and materials throughout the construction phase and be easily modified for use by the public users upon completion and handover.

Time constraints, budget and project milestones all had to be considered but not at the risk of ensuring that exceptionally high standards of health and safety were observed throughout the construction, installation and delivery phase.  As Safe Contractor accredited engineers, P&N were able to guarantee compliance and the safety of workers utilising the lift or working within the site's vicinity at every stage of the project.
